Smart Home Room Tour: Showcasing My Smart Devices

Hey everyone, I’ve been having so much fun setting up my smart home, and I thought it would be fun to share a little tour of my room with you all! :teddy_bear::bulb::video_game:

First off, I have this amazing LEGO display above my bed. It’s filled with architecture sets from cities like Paris, London, Tokyo, and Singapore. I’ve also added some fun free-builds, like a ship in a bottle and a sailboat. To light it all up, I’m using Govee RGBIC 32ft strip lights. They really make the whole setup pop! :rainbow::sparkles:

Now, onto the tech side of things. I’ve been experimenting with OpenHAB and Hubitat to automate my home. One thing I’ve been struggling with is setting up the snooze feature on my thermostat. It just won’t turn off! :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Anyone have any tips or tricks for this? I’d really appreciate the help!

On the topic of automation, I recently came across this really cool feature request for code folding in the Home Assistant YAML editor. It’s something I could really use, especially with my growing list of automations. The idea is to collapse sections of code to make it easier to navigate. I’m not a developer, but it seems like it could be implemented without too much hassle. If anyone has thoughts or suggestions, I’d love to hear them! :hammer_and_wrench::bulb:

Lastly, I wanted to share a fun little project I’ve been working on. I’ve been using my Shelly Dimmer 2 to control my lights, but I ran into an issue where the physical switch wasn’t responding. After some trial and error, I finally got it sorted by recalibrating the switch. It’s such a relief to have everything working smoothly now! :star2:

If anyone has any questions or wants to share their own smart home setups, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s keep the conversation going! :handshake:
