Moving into a new place always feels like a fresh start, and I wanted to make the most of this opportunity to create a truly connected and efficient living space.
One of the first things I decided was whether to keep my existing smart home setup or start fresh. After some research and discussions with the community, I realized that starting from scratch might offer more flexibility and allow me to design a system that perfectly fits my new space. I dismantled everything from my old hub and began planning from the ground up.
I’ve been experimenting with ground lights and found them to be a fantastic addition to my outdoor spaces. They not only enhance the ambiance but also provide excellent security features. However, I’ve encountered a challenge with managing the staircase lights without running new wires. I’ve shared my circuit diagram and would love to hear your thoughts on how to control the pushbutton lamp effectively. Any innovative solutions would be greatly appreciated!
Another area I’ve been exploring is virtual devices. I’m still a bit fuzzy on how they work and how to create them, but I’ve noticed they can really streamline automation. If anyone has tips or tutorials, I’d be grateful for the guidance.
As I continue to tweak and refine my setup, I’m constantly amazed by the possibilities smart home technology offers.
