Smart Home Setup Journey: Challenges, Solutions, and DIY Fun

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent journey setting up my smart home. It’s been a mix of excitement, challenges, and some fun DIY projects! :rocket:

The Setup Journey
I started by configuring the Waste Collection Schedule for my area. At first, I was a bit confused about the data source setup. I found some documentation mentioning Wuppertal, but I wasn’t sure if it meant I could get the data directly without using iCAL or webCAL. After some research and tweaking, I got it working seamlessly! :tada:

Next, I installed the Shelly 1/2,5 devices to control my radiator. I wanted to automate heating based on temperature differences. The initial setup was smooth, but I had to do some trial and error to get the temperature thresholds just right. Now, it’s perfect—no more manual adjustments! :thermometer:

DIY Project Fun
I also dove into a fun DIY project: creating a Govee Hexa Pro display for my living room. It was a bit tricky at first, but with some guidance from the community, I managed to get it set up. The result? A stunning light display that really brightens up the space! :star2:

Community Gratitude
I want to give a huge shoutout to the Govee Community for their amazing support and inspiration. Their tips and tricks have been invaluable throughout my setup journey. Special thanks to @GOVEE for continuously improving their products and making smart home living so enjoyable!

Looking Ahead
Now that the basics are in place, I’m excited to dive into more advanced projects, like integrating my RGB DIY lights for even more customizable home automation. The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to see how much more I can achieve! :rocket:

If anyone has tips or suggestions for my next projects, I’d love to hear them! Happy smart home tinkering everyone! :bulb::sparkles:
