Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my recent smart home setup journey and ask for some advice or tips from the community! ![]()
I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices and have managed to set up a few things around my house. I started with some basic Philips Hue bulbs for my living room—they’ve been a game-changer for creating different moods throughout the day. I also picked up a Wyze Cam for my front porch, which has given me peace of mind with its motion detection and notifications.
One of the highlights for me has been integrating my Yale Assure lock. It’s been so convenient to unlock my door with my phone, and the fact that it works seamlessly with Alexa has been a huge plus. I’ve also been experimenting with some routines using IFTTT, like turning on my lights when I unlock my door in the evening. It’s these little automations that really make the smart home feel cohesive!
Now, I’m looking to expand my setup and would love to hear from others who have more experience. Are there any must-have devices or clever automations that I should consider? I’m particularly interested in finding ways to make my home more energy-efficient and maybe even integrate some eco-friendly features. Any recommendations or success stories would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
