Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience setting up my smart home for a party, and I’m really impressed with how everything came together. 
First, I wanted to make sure the lighting was perfect. I’ve been using the IKEA button as a dimmer, and it’s been a lifesaver! I set it up so the up button increases brightness by 10% and the down button decreases it. It’s so simple but makes such a big difference. I also integrated my Govee lights to create different scenes for the party—like a vibrant dance mode and a cozy conversation mode. The color transitions are smooth, and it really sets the mood!
Security was another priority. I replaced my old Arlo base station and had some trouble pairing it with the cameras at first, but after a factory reset and following the setup steps carefully, everything worked out. It’s reassuring to know the cameras are online and monitoring the house while I’m enjoying the party. I also set up motion sensors in key areas, and they’ve been super reliable. No false alarms so far!
One thing I learned is the importance of having a backup plan. I made sure to back up my WebCore settings so I could easily restore them if needed. It’s a small step, but it gives me peace of mind.
