Smart Home Updates and Experiences

I’ve been really enjoying my journey into the world of smart home technology lately! :star2: There’s always something new to discover or improve, and I wanted to share a few recent experiences and thoughts with the community.

First off, I’ve been using the Govee Power Strip for a while now, and I’m consistently impressed by its reliability and responsiveness. Whether I’m controlling it through the app or Google Assistant, the reaction time is almost instantaneous—something that’s rare in many smart home devices. It’s been a great addition to my setup, especially for managing my electronics efficiently. My only suggestion would be to add individual plug controls directly from the main app interface, which would make things even more convenient!

On a slightly different note, I’ve been having a bit of trouble with the Wyze Wireless Doorbell. I recently lost the tiny screw that secures the doorbell to its mount, and I’m curious if anyone has found a suitable replacement or workaround for this. It’s a small issue, but it’s been a bit of a nuisance. If anyone has any tips, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Another thing I’ve been thinking about is the Philips Hue Motion Sensors. I’ve been using them with the Hubitat driver, and while they’re generally reliable, I’d love to see more frequent lux readings. Where I live, the lighting conditions can change rapidly, and the current 10-minute interval doesn’t quite cut it. Has anyone found a way to adjust this or come across a custom driver that offers more flexibility?

Overall, I’m really enjoying the flexibility and convenience that smart home tech brings to my daily life. It’s amazing how these devices can enhance comfort and efficiency in so many ways. I’m looking forward to exploring even more possibilities in the future!

Thank you to everyone in the community for your insights and support—it’s truly a fantastic resource for all things smart home!
