Smart Hub M3 Matter integration

I have problems to get the Matter integration to work with HomeAssistant. It seems not to work, only with Zigbee devices.

Is anyone using the M3 Hub with Matter at all with HomeAssistant? I am using HA in Docker, with a separate Matter Server. But could not find reliable and current documentation so far :frowning:

I have a few Aqara zigbee devices and 3 U300 locks connected to my Hub M3 and they all show up in Home Assistant via Matter. I am running HAOS though. Everything worked well for me. I paired the M3 to HA and the child devices just showed up in HA like magic.

I use the β€žAqara Motion and Light Sensor P2β€œ (Thread protocol) in Home Assistant and Aqara M3 at the same time. Home Assistant and Aqara share the same Thread network.
Moreover, I have some ceiling lights, wall plugs, temperature sensors and door sensors connected to M3 using ZigBee. Via the Matter Bridge of M3, I can use them also in Home Assistant. Only drawback is that some measures (e.g. current, air pressure) are still not shared using Matter Bridge. But Aqara is working on that, as far as I know.

Home Assistant standalone installation (integrated Matter addon), or in a Docker environment (with a separate Matterserver in Docker)?
