I’ve been experimenting with automating my bathroom fan using a humidity sensor, and it’s been quite the learning experience!
The challenge has been getting the fan to trigger consistently, especially since humidity levels fluctuate so much throughout the day and year. **Fixed rules based on absolute humidity just didn’t cut it.**What I’d love is a system that activates the fan if the humidity increases by, say, 10% within 15 minutes. Then, it would keep running until the humidity drops by at least 9% from its peak. This way, it adapts to daily changes and ensures proper ventilation without overcomplicating things.Has anyone tackled something similar? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
I’m excited to see how this could work and maybe even share some findings with the community. Let’s brainstorm together! ![]()
