I had an issue where my Denon AVR receiver was showing up in the states screen, which I wanted to hide for cleaner automations. I managed to do this by properly configuring the hide_entity option in my configuration file. It’s a small detail, but it made a big difference in how my automations function.
Now, I’ve created a fantastic scene where I can control both my HVAC system and vertical blinds through a single voice command. It’s amazing how much this has improved my home comfort and convenience. I can now adjust the temperature and blinds simultaneously, perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings!
