I’ve recently completed integrating my HVAC system with HomeKit, and it’s been a fantastic experience! 
The ability to control my mini-split from my iPhone has made managing the temperature so much easier, especially during those early morning commutes. However, I’m now curious about expanding this setup to include smart shades. My goal is to automate both the HVAC and shades for my outbuilding, creating a seamless experience where I can manage everything with one voice command or button press.
I’ve done some research and found a few options, but they seem a bit pricey. I’m wondering if there’s a more budget-friendly solution that still offers reliable performance. Additionally, I’d love to know if anyone has experience with specific brands or models that integrate well with HomeKit. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! 
Here’s what I’ve considered so far:
- Mini-Split Control: Using an IR-based controller like the Sensibo Air, which works seamlessly with HomeKit.
- Smart Shade Options: Exploring options like the Somfy or Lutron shades, but I’m open to other suggestions.
