I’ve recently embarked on a journey to transform my home into a smart haven, and I must say, it’s been an incredible experience! 
Starting with lighting, I’ve installed a mix of Govee and Wyze bulbs, which not only offer vibrant colors but also seamless integration with my voice commands. The ability to change the ambiance of a room with just a word is truly magical! 
I’ve also set up a simple yet effective automation system using my Raspberry Pi and PIR sensors. The idea was to have my hallway lights turn on automatically when I walk in, but I wanted to ensure it wasn’t too sensitive. After some tweaking, I found that setting a 2-second detection threshold worked perfectly—it avoids false triggers while still being responsive. 
One of my favorite projects has been creating a ‘Stairway to Heaven’ setup, where each step lights up as I ascend. It’s a small touch, but it adds so much character to my home!
