I’ve been diving into the world of smart home technology for the past year, and it’s been an incredible journey! From setting up my first smart lights to integrating a security system, I’ve learned so much and wanted to share my experiences with the community.
One of my favorite projects has been setting up smart lighting throughout my home. I started with a few Hue light strips under my kitchen cabinets, and it’s made such a difference in both functionality and aesthetics. On the security front, I recently installed a WyzeCam and a few motion-activated lights. The integration with my smart lights has been seamless—whenever motion is detected, the lights automatically turn on, creating a safer environment without any hassle. I’ve also been using the Wyze app to monitor everything in real-time, which gives me peace of mind when I’m away from home.
One thing I’m still exploring is how to make my lighting more interactive. I’ve heard about using routines to change the lighting based on the time of day or specific activities, and I’m excited to dive deeper into that.
