I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and security lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with the community. 
Starting with lighting, I’ve been a huge fan of integrating my Hue bulbs with SmartThings. It’s amazing how seamless the integration is, and the ability to control everything from one app is a game-changer. However, I did run into an interesting issue with two of my Hue bulbs where one would dim just a split second faster than the other. It was a bit frustrating, but I discovered that switching to a different virtual dimmer in SmartThings helped mitigate the issue. If anyone else is experiencing this, I’d recommend trying out various dimmer settings to find the perfect balance! 
On the security front, I’ve been experimenting with Arlo Pro 3 cameras. The integration with SmartThings has been pretty smooth, but I did notice a peculiar behavior. When I switch modes in SmartThings, the cameras are supposed to turn off, but occasionally they still detect motion even when they’re supposed to be inactive. This usually happens when I walk by, and the spotlight flickers on. It’s a minor inconvenience, but it’s something I’d love to see addressed in future updates. If anyone has a workaround or a solution, I’d be thrilled to hear about it! 
Another project I’ve been working on is setting up a basic automation for my bathroom lights using the Govee app. It’s been a fun way to customize the lighting experience, and I’m excited to explore more features as I get more comfortable with the setup.
