Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and automation, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey. I recently installed some GE Z-Wave Plus smart dimmers and integrated them with Hubitat Simple Lighting. Everything seems to be working smoothly except for one peculiar issue that I’m hoping the community can help me figure out.
Here’s the setup: I’ve programmed my lights to dim during the night for a more relaxed ambiance. The automation works perfectly during the designated time frame, and the lights turn off as expected afterward. However, when I try to manually adjust the brightness in the morning by clicking the toggle, the lights only come up to the dim level set in the rule. It’s as if the dimmer is remembering the last set level and doesn’t reset to full brightness when turned off.
I’ve checked the Hubitat settings and the dimmer configurations multiple times, but I can’t seem to find a solution. Is there a way to reset the dimmer to full brightness after the automation rule has completed? I’d love to have the convenience of both automated dimming and full manual control without having to reset the dimmer every time.
If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has a workaround, I’d be thrilled to hear about it! Let’s brainstorm together and see if we can crack this puzzle. Happy automating! ![]()
