As the sun sets, I enjoy the convenience of my smart lighting system automatically adjusting to create a cozy ambiance. However, I’ve encountered a challenge with my table lamp. I set up scenes to turn it on at sunset and off at a specific time, but when I press the Hank button to toggle the light manually, it reverts back to its previous state after a second. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I’ve only used simple triggers so far, so I’m sure there’s a better approach.
Another issue I’m facing is with my Wyze Cam. It consistently connects and streams video, but my Wyze Cam v2 on iOS 14 is unreliable—it either doesn’t connect or needs a reboot. I have strong Wi-Fi coverage, so signal strength isn’t the issue. I’m considering setting up a virtual LAN to troubleshoot this. If anyone has similar experiences or tips, I’d love to hear them!
On a lighter note, I recently set up my Christmas tree with an addressable LED string controlled by a D1 Mini with WLED. I wanted to sync the lights with music using LedFX, but since my server and TV are in different rooms, I’m exploring ways to place a microphone near the tree and trigger automations through Home Assistant. It’s a fun project, and I’m excited to see how it turns out!
