I’ve been experimenting with my Govee Bluetooth lightbulbs and wanted to share my experience and a question I have about automating color transitions.
My Setup: I’ve installed several Govee bulbs in my living room, aiming to create a seamless transition from bright white light during the day to warm, cozy lighting in the evening. The idea is to have the lights automatically shift to a warmer tone at 5 PM when work is done and the evening begins.
Current Experience: The bulbs perform exceptionally well in terms of brightness and color accuracy. However, I’m curious about the best way to set up a timer or scene that changes the color temperature at a specific time. I’ve tried using the Govee app to schedule a color change, but I’m not entirely sure if I’m using the feature correctly.
Question: Does anyone have tips on how to set up a smooth transition from bright white to warm light using the Govee app or any third-party automation tools? I’d love to hear how others have achieved this kind of lighting automation in their homes.
Additional Thoughts: It would be fantastic if the Govee app allowed for more granular control over the timing and intensity of the color transition. For example, a gradual shift over 10-15 minutes as the sun sets would mimic natural lighting changes and create a more relaxing environment.
If anyone has successfully implemented a similar setup, I’d be grateful for your advice! Let’s discuss and share our experiences with smart lighting automation. ![]()
