I wanted to share an exciting project I’ve been working on to enhance my game day experience. Imagine your room coming alive with synchronized lights and music whenever your favorite team scores a goal—this is no longer just a fantasy!
I’ve integrated my Govee lights, including backlight strips, LED curtains, and mini panels, to flash in my team’s colors automatically. Plus, I added a touch of magic by having their iconic song or goal horn play simultaneously. The best part? All of this happens seamlessly without any manual intervention!
Here’s how I did it:
- Automation Setup: I used Home Assistant to monitor real-time game data. When a goal is scored, it triggers a sequence of actions.
- Light Integration: My Govee lights are set to change colors instantly based on the game updates.
- Music & Effects: I linked the audio files of my team’s songs and horns to play through my smart speakers.
- Visual Enhancements: A scoreboard pops up on my TV, updating scores and highlights.
This setup has transformed my game watching experience into a full-blown celebration! Whether it’s a last-minute goal or a dramatic save, the room reacts in perfect harmony.
