Smart Lighting Automation for Nighttime

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with setting up smart lighting automation for nighttime. I’ve been using Govee LED strips and motion detectors, and it’s been a game-changer for my home security and ambiance.

I’ve set up two motion detectors—one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom. The idea is to have the lights turn on automatically when someone approaches or moves around. It’s been working perfectly, and I love how it adds a layer of security without needing to manually turn the lights on.

However, I’ve noticed that during the day, the lights sometimes come on when they shouldn’t. I think it’s because the motion detectors are too sensitive. Does anyone have tips on how to adjust sensitivity or set specific times when the lights should only activate?

Another thing I’m curious about is integrating these lights with my smart thermostat. I’d love to have the lights dim automatically when the temperature drops below a certain threshold. Has anyone tried something like this?

Overall, I’m really happy with how my setup is working, and I’d love to hear any suggestions or experiences others have had with similar setups. Let’s keep the conversation going! :star2:
