Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my recent experience setting up smart lighting for my pool area. I recently installed a Shelly device to control the lights around my pool, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup.
I’ve created a virtual button in my system labeled Pool Lights On, which not only turns on the Hue lights on my terrace but also changes their color to a warm red and activates the pool lighting. It’s been working perfectly so far!
Now, I’m wondering if I need to create another virtual button specifically for turning everything off, or if there’s a smarter way to handle this without adding more buttons to my interface. I’ve heard about using scenes or automations to group actions together, but I’m not entirely sure how to set that up.
If anyone has tips or suggestions on how to streamline this process, I’d love to hear them. Maybe there’s a way to have a single button that toggles both on and off states, or perhaps an automation that turns everything off after a certain period of inactivity.
Looking forward to your insights and sharing your experiences! ![]()
