Hi everyone! I’m really excited about my new smart home setup and I’m trying to get everything working smoothly. I’ve got a mix of devices from different brands—Philips Hue, Sonoff, and some Zigbee sensors. I’m using Home Assistant as my hub and everything seems to be connected properly.
However, I’m having a bit of trouble with my automations. I set up a rule where when I leave the house, all the lights should turn off and the security system should arm. It worked perfectly the first few times, but now it’s inconsistent. Sometimes the lights stay on or the security system doesn’t arm at all.
I’ve checked the logs and it seems like the devices are receiving the commands, but they’re not executing them consistently. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing in the configuration or if there’s a better way to structure my automations for reliability.
Any advice or tips from more experienced users would be greatly appreciated! I’m really enjoying the smart home ecosystem and I’m eager to learn more to make everything work seamlessly.
