Smart Lighting Automation: My Experience with Shelly and Philips Hue

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with integrating Shelly smart switches and Philips Hue lights into my home automation setup. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’d love to hear others’ experiences too!

I’ve always been a fan of smart lighting, but until recently, I was using a mix of different brands without much coordination. After doing some research, I decided to go with Shelly 2.5 switches for their reliability and ease of installation. Pairing them with my existing Philips Hue bulbs has been a game-changer!

One of the things I love most is how seamlessly they integrate with Home Assistant. I’ve set up automations where the lights dim to 30% when it’s late at night and brighten up in the morning based on my wake-up schedule. It’s so convenient and adds a nice touch to my daily routine.

I also wanted to share a tip for anyone looking to integrate multiple brands. Make sure to check compatibility beforehand and invest in a good Zigbee or Z-Wave hub if you don’t already have one. It makes a world of difference in ensuring smooth communication between devices.

If anyone has tips on optimizing energy usage with smart lights or creative automation ideas, I’d love to hear them!
