Smart Lighting & Device Integration Tips

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and device integration, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips. :rocket:

First, I’ve been experimenting with under-cabinet kitchen lighting. The brightness and quality have been a game-changer, but choosing the right strips and controllers was a bit overwhelming. I ended up going with a RGBWW option that allows for color customization. The setup was straightforward, and it’s such a nice touch to have different lighting modes for cooking vs. entertaining! :woman::fried_egg::sparkles:

On the topic of lighting, I’ve also been exploring how to integrate my smart lights with motion sensors. It’s amazing how much more convenient and energy-efficient my home has become. However, I ran into an issue with one of my motion sensors being too sensitive. It was picking up every little vibration, like thunder or even my neighbor’s car! :red_car::dash: After some research, I found that adjusting the sensitivity settings and placing the sensor strategically helped a lot. Now, it’s much more reliable! :dart:

Another project I’ve been working on is automating my heating system. I’ve been using a Fibaro RGBW controller to change colors based on the outside temperature. It’s a fun way to visualize the weather without checking my phone. However, I did run into some syntax issues with my PLEG setup. Thankfully, the community here was super helpful, and I was able to tweak the logic to get it working perfectly. :thermometer::rainbow:

I’d love to hear from others—what smart lighting or device integration projects have you been working on lately? Any tips or tricks you’d like to share? Let’s keep the discussion going! :speech_balloon::bulb:
