I wanted to share my recent DIY project with the Govee smart lights. After seeing so many inspiring posts, I decided to give it a try myself. Let me walk you through my experience and some tips I picked up along the way!
First, I started by researching the best lights for my setup. I opted for the Govee RGBIC floor lamps because of their versatility and vibrant colors. The installation process was straightforward, but I recommend watching their setup video to ensure everything is connected properly. The app integration with Alexa and Google Assistant was seamless, and I love how I can control the lights with my voice!
One thing I struggled with initially was creating the perfect ambiance. I played around with the different color modes and found that the ‘Scene’ feature really helped. I created a calming preset for evenings and a vibrant one for movie nights. It’s amazing how much a good lighting setup can transform a space!
I also discovered the importance of positioning. Placing the lights at the right height and angle made a huge difference in how the colors spread throughout the room. I ended up using a mix of floor lamps and wall-mounted options to cover the entire area evenly.
