Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my smart lighting system with other devices in my home, and I wanted to share my experiences and ask for some advice.
I recently installed a mix of Busch-Jäger Alpha Nea switches and some Shelly devices to control my lighting. The combination works well, but I’m trying to figure out how to make the system even more seamless. For instance, I’d love to have custom scenes where the lights adjust based on the time of day or my activities.
One thing I’ve noticed is that the Shelly devices are great for automation, but I’m struggling to find the perfect blend with my existing Busch-Jäger setup. I’ve tried using the Shelly app to create schedules, but I’m not sure if I’m utilizing all the features correctly. Has anyone successfully integrated these two systems?
Another thing I’m curious about is how others handle the aesthetics of their smart home setup. I have a few motion sensors and smart plugs around the house, but they don’t always blend in as well as I’d like. I’ve seen some creative solutions online, like using specific blends or mounts, but I’m not sure where to find the right accessories.
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with color-changing bulbs and have had some fun results! It’s amazing how a simple change in hue can completely transform the mood of a room. I’d love to hear about any unique lighting scenarios or hacks others have tried.
