I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey!
I started with a few Govee devices and quickly fell in love with their reliability and sleek design. My collection has grown to include 35 devices, and I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve transformed my space. The OG strip lights, in particular, have been a game-changer for creating ambiance in my home.
However, I’ve encountered a few bumps along the way that I’d love to share and get some advice on. For instance, I recently tried integrating a 4-channel BLE relay module into my setup, but the process has been quite challenging. I’m curious if others have successfully used these modules with ESPHome or if there are any specific configurations that work better.
Another issue I’ve faced is with device notifications. I noticed that motion notifications from my cameras often arrive 3-5 minutes after the event is actually captured. This delay is a bit frustrating, especially for real-time monitoring. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how did you resolve it?
On the positive side, I’ve had great success with the iopool EcO Connect Integration. It’s amazing how seamlessly it integrates with my smart home system, providing real-time water quality monitoring and even recommendations for adjustments. If anyone is looking to enhance their pool maintenance, I highly recommend checking this out!
I’d also love to hear from others about their experiences with dynamic geolocation events in Lovelace. I’ve been trying to display earthquake data from the USGS feed but struggle with keeping the entities updated. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I want to extend a huge thank you to the community for all the support and shared knowledge. It’s incredible how a group of enthusiasts can come together to troubleshoot, innovate, and improve our smart home setups. Here’s to many more projects and discoveries ahead! ![]()
