Smart Lighting Integration with Shelly 1 Mini Gen3

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating multiple Shelly 1 Mini Gen3 devices with Siri for whole-house lighting control. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’d love to walk you through it!

Initially, I set up individual Shelly devices in the Home app, which worked perfectly for controlling each light separately. However, I quickly realized the potential for creating scenes or groups to simplify my daily routine. Imagine saying, ‘Hey Siri, turn on the downstairs lights,’ and having all the relevant lights illuminate at once—pure magic!

To achieve this, I discovered that grouping devices in the Home app was the key. By categorizing my lights into zones like ‘Dining Room’ or ‘Living Room,’ I could create custom scenes. For example, a ‘Goodnight’ scene that dims the lights and turns on a nightlight. The possibilities are endless!

One thing I found particularly useful was the ability to adjust brightness and color temperature directly through Siri. It’s incredibly convenient, especially in the evening when I want softer lighting to wind down. The integration with Apple’s ecosystem has been seamless, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

If you’re looking to enhance your smart lighting setup, I highly recommend exploring the grouping and scene features in the Home app. It’s a game-changer for creating a truly connected home environment. Let me know if you have any questions or tips to share—I’m always eager to learn more!

Cheers to smarter living! :star2:
