Hello everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home technology and I’m really excited to dive into setting up some smart lighting in my home. I recently came across the Juno Wafer Connect 6 in Canless Lights and decided to give them a try. They were on sale at Lowes for $20 each, which was a great deal considering their original price of $35. I purchased four of them for my basement, which currently has some non-smart incandescent can lights. While I wasn’t initially looking for a smart solution, the price made them too good to pass up!
I’m now trying to figure out the best way to control these lights. I have an Alexa device at home, but I don’t currently have a smart hub. I’m wondering if I need to invest in a ZWave-compatible hub to make these lights work with Alexa. I’m also curious about the best dimmer switches to use with these LED lights. I’ve heard that some dimmer switches are better suited for LED lights, and I want to make sure I choose the right one. I have two wires plus a ground in the switch gang, and I’d prefer not to run additional wires if possible. Are there any recommendations for both non-smart and smart dimmer switches that would work well with these lights?
I’m also thinking about the future possibility of integrating more smart devices into my home. While I don’t have a smart hub yet, I’m curious about how these lights would interact with other smart home systems. I’m hoping to find a solution that’s both affordable and scalable, so I can gradually add more smart features without having to replace everything all at once.
If anyone has experience with the Juno Wafer Connect 6 lights or can offer advice on dimmer switches and smart home integration, I’d really appreciate it! I’m eager to learn more and make the most of my new lighting setup. Thanks in advance for any tips or recommendations!
