Smart Lighting Setup and Energy Optimization Tips

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I want to share some of my experiences and tips that might help others optimize their setups.

First, I’ve been experimenting with dimmers like the Shelly Dimmer 2. Setting up scenes for different lighting moods has been a game-changer for our home. For instance, I created a cozy reading scene with softer lighting and a brighter scene for cooking. The process was a bit tricky at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing.

Another area I’ve been focusing on is energy optimization. I recently installed a PV system and wanted to maximize its usage for my heat pump. I set up a system where the 3EM device monitors power output and triggers different operating states based on thresholds. For example, when overproduction exceeds 3kW, it activates one state, and at 6kW, it switches to another. This setup has significantly reduced our reliance on the grid.

I’d love to hear from others about their strategies for optimizing energy usage with smart devices. Have you found any particularly effective techniques or devices? Let’s share and learn together! :star2:
