I recently upgraded my outdoor lighting setup with some Govee smart bulbs, and I have to say, the ease of installation and the variety of DIY effects they offer are phenomenal! The Swarming effect is my favorite—it’s so dynamic and engaging. If you haven’t checked out Govee’s latest features, I highly recommend it! 
Motion Detection Challenges and Solutions
One of the key features I wanted was reliable motion detection for my outdoor floodlights. I came across the Lutron wall switch setup, which allows for manual control alongside motion detection. Initially, I was a bit confused about how the motion detection would integrate with the wall switch, but after some research and trial, it worked seamlessly! 
Tips for Others
- Integration with Schedules: I set up my motion-activated lights with a schedule to only activate during the evening. This ensures energy efficiency while keeping my property secure.
- Testing and Calibration: Don’t skip the calibration step! Adjusting the sensitivity of the motion sensors made a huge difference in preventing false triggers.
- App Integration: The Arlo app update was a game-changer for me. It allowed me to set up motion detection alerts and integrate them with my smart lights effortlessly.
