Hi everyone, I’m Dirk, and I wanted to share some of my recent experiences with setting up smart lighting and ensuring power backup in my home. I recently got myself the pendant lamp ‘Yeelight Meteorite’, featuring a w/ww downlight and an rgb uplight. It has been discovered, but only with a general on/off. I was wondering if there’s any chance I can define all channels? The lamp has been discovered as a mihome-thing, btw. If anyone has any insights or solutions, I’d greatly appreciate it!
On another note, I wanted to share a solution I found for power outages. We recently experienced a power cut, and it made me realize how dependent we are on electricity. My wife uses an electric chair, and during the outage, it was a real challenge for her to get around. To address this, I invested in a SinKeu Powerstation. It’s been a lifesaver! It provides enough power to keep the lights on, charge devices, and even run my electric chair for a few hours. The setup was straightforward, and Homey helps monitor its status. I’d highly recommend it for anyone in a similar situation.
Lastly, I wanted to mention a cool integration I set up using the Nello app. I managed to forward the doorbell signal to Homey, allowing me to use it in flows. It took about 10-15 minutes to figure out, and it’s been working perfectly. If anyone else is interested in this setup, I’d be happy to share the step-by-step guide!
Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or any tips you might have!
