Smart Lighting Setup for a mailbox with Motion Sensor

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with setting up a smart lighting system for my mailbox. It’s been a bit of a challenge, but I think I’ve figured it out! I decided to use an Ecolink motion sensor because it’s affordable and has good reviews. However, I ran into a problem where the sensor wasn’t transmitting through my mailbox. After some research, I realized it was acting like a Faraday cage, which is pretty cool but not helpful in this case. I tried extending the antenna, and it worked! Now, my mailbox lights up beautifully whenever there’s motion. I’d love to hear if anyone else has had similar issues or has tips for improving signal strength in tight spaces. It’s been a fun project, and I’m really happy with the results!
