Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent project of setting up smart lighting in my backyard. It’s been a fantastic way to enhance the ambiance and make entertaining guests a breeze! 
I started by installing a set of string lights around my porch, using the Govee RGBIC Warm White bulbs. They’re so easy to control through the app, and the color-changing feature adds a festive touch. I also placed some RGB lights around my fire pit, which really warms up the space in the evenings.
One thing I learned is to mix warm white lights with colored ones for a balanced look. It creates a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. I also found that scheduling the lights to turn on at sunset using Home Assistant’s automation feature was a game-changer. No more fumbling with switches in the dark!
The best part? My backyard now feels like a welcoming extension of my home. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a holiday gathering, the lights set the perfect mood. I’m already planning to add more lights around the garden paths for a magical walkway effect.
