Smart Lighting Setup for Basement

I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to set up my basement lighting, and I wanted to share my thoughts and maybe get some advice from the community. The basement has multiple light switches scattered around, which makes it a bit of a hassle to turn everything on when I go down. I’ve heard that smart bulbs could be the solution, but I’m not quite sure how to make it work seamlessly with a physical switch at the top of the stairs.

I’ve considered using smart bulbs like the Govee H6172 or H619C, but I’m not entirely sure about the differences between them. I’ve also looked into setting up a smart switch, but I’m worried about the complexity of pairing it with all the existing bulbs. Has anyone successfully integrated a physical switch with smart bulbs for a similar setup? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I’m also curious about the best practices for ensuring reliable connectivity and minimizing latency. I’ve heard that mesh networking can help with coverage, but I’m not sure how to implement it effectively in a basement setting. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear about your setup and any challenges you faced.

Overall, I’m excited to make this project happen and create a more convenient and modern lighting system for my basement. Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you’ve tackled a similar project before!
