I’ve recently completed a smart lighting project that I’d love to share with the community. After doing some research, I decided to go with Govee Flood Lights for my outdoor setup. They’ve been a game-changer in terms of brightness and color customization. I’m using these lights to create a welcoming ambiance in my backyard, and the results are stunning!
Here’s a quick rundown of my setup:
- Hardware: I purchased the Govee Flood Lights and paired them with some standard bulbs from Home Depot. The combination of Govee’s vibrant colors and the traditional bulbs provides a balanced lighting solution.
- Integration: I integrated the Govee Flood Lights with my SmartThings ecosystem. Setting this up was straightforward using the SmartThings app. I was able to automate the lights to turn on at sunset and switch to a warm yellow hue during the night for a cozy feel.
- Customization: I’ve programmed multiple scenes using the SmartThings app. For example, during gatherings, I set the lights to a vibrant white with a slight blue tint to create a lively atmosphere. For movie nights, I have a dimmer setting with a warm glow.
- Energy Efficiency: I’m really impressed with how energy-efficient these lights are. They consume significantly less power compared to my old setup, which is a big plus for both the environment and my electricity bill.
