Hey everyone!
I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I wanted to share my experience with you all. I recently installed some Govee LED lights in my home, and I have to say, they’ve been a game-changer. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions really set the mood, especially during parties or just relaxing in the evenings. ![]()
One of the challenges I faced was integrating these lights with my existing ESPHome setup. I wanted to automate the lights based on my daily routines, like dimming them in the evening or syncing them with my music. After some research and trial and error, I managed to create a blueprint that allows me to control the lights through my voice assistant and even set up some scenes for different occasions. ![]()
I also stumbled upon a helpful guide that walked me through setting up MQTT commands for the lights. It was a bit tricky at first, but once everything was configured, it was seamless! Now, I can adjust the brightness, color, and effects right from my phone. ![]()
If anyone else is looking to integrate Govee lights into their smart home setup, I’d be happy to share my configuration files or troubleshoot any issues you might encounter. Let’s light up our homes and make them smarter together! ![]()
