Smart Lighting Setup with Dimmers: Seeking Advice

Hello everyone! I’m a new member here and I’m really excited to dive into the world of smart home automation. I’ve been researching how to set up a smart lighting system in my home, and I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with. :rocket:

I’ve recently purchased a Shelly RGBW and a Miboxer dimmer to control my 24V LED strip. The idea is to have the LED strip dimmable and controllable via my phone or through a smart switch. I’ve managed to connect the Shelly RGBW to my network, but I’m a bit stuck on how to integrate everything smoothly. :bulb:

Here’s what I’m wondering:

  • How long does it typically take for the dimmers to boot up and connect to the network after a power cycle? I’m concerned about delays when switching the lights on or off.
  • Will the dimmers remember their last settings after a power outage? This would be really helpful to ensure the lights come back on at the right brightness level.
  • I’ve heard that placing a Shelly 1 in the switch socket can help with smart control. Would that be a good addition to my setup?

I’m also open to alternative suggestions if there’s a better way to achieve the same result. I want to make sure my system is both reliable and easy to use. :hammer_and_wrench:

I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences! If anyone has gone through a similar setup, please share your insights. Thanks in advance for your help!
