Smart Lighting Sync & Camera Setup Tips

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and cameras lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with the community! :rocket:

First off, I recently got my hands on the Nanoleaf Rhythm and some Sengled Multicolor bulbs. The Nanoleaf scenes are absolutely stunning, and I’ve been trying to sync them with my Sengled bulbs for a more immersive room experience. While I haven’t figured out a seamless way to do it yet, I’ve had some success using IFTTT and WebCore. If anyone has a better solution, I’d love to hear it! :bulb::bulb:

On the camera front, I’ve been working with the Wyze Duo Cam doorbell. It’s been a great addition to my setup, but I ran into an issue with Complete Motion Detection Notifications. I only wanted Smart Notifications for people and packages, but the Wyze app kept sending unnecessary alerts. After some digging, I found that disabling Motion under event notifications was the key—though it did take a while to figure out! :rotating_light::eyes:

Another thing I’ve been exploring is Z-Wave network healing. I upgraded my dongle recently and had to re-add all my devices. It was a bit of a hassle, but it’s been worth it for the improved reliability. If anyone else is dealing with Z-Wave issues, I highly recommend running a Heal Network routine to keep everything smooth. :hammer_and_wrench::arrows_counterclockwise:

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with Govee light strips. The brightness and color range are impressive, and the remote control is a nice touch for those who prefer not to use their phones. I’m curious to see if Govee will release more advanced features in the future, like sectional lighting effects as I proposed earlier! :rainbow::sparkles:

If anyone has tips or tricks for syncing different smart devices or troubleshooting camera issues, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the smart home magic flowing! :sparkles::bulb:
