Smart Lights Not Responding to Voice Commands

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me with an issue I’m having with my smart lights. I’ve recently set up a few Philips Hue bulbs in my living room, and while they work perfectly when controlled through the app, they just won’t respond to my voice commands. It’s a bit frustrating because I was really looking forward to controlling them hands-free!

I’ve tried a few things to troubleshoot the problem. First, I made sure that all my devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. I also reset the bulbs and the hub to see if that would help, but no luck. I even tried unplugging everything for a few minutes and then plugging them back in, but the issue persists. I’m starting to think it might be a compatibility issue, but I’m not entirely sure.

I’ve heard that sometimes the problem can be with the voice assistant itself, so I decided to test it out with another smart device I have. I asked my smart speaker to turn on a different smart plug, and it worked without any issues. That makes me think the problem is specifically with the lights, not the speaker or the network. I’m wondering if there’s a setting I’m missing in the Philips Hue app or maybe a firmware update that I need to install.

I came across a tip online suggesting that sometimes the lights need to be in a specific mode to respond to voice commands. I tried putting them in different modes, but nothing seems to work. I’m also considering whether the placement of the bulbs could be affecting the signal, but they’re in pretty standard positions.

If anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice, I’d really appreciate it! I’m really hoping to get this figured out so I can fully enjoy the convenience of my smart home setup. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
