I’ve been using the Smart Lock 3.0 Pro for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed with its features. However, I’ve encountered some issues with the time control settings that I wanted to share and discuss with the community.
Initially, I set up two different timers for unlocking my door—one for weekdays at 6:00 AM and another for weekends at 8:00 AM. Everything seemed to work fine at first, but after closing and reopening the time control settings, both timers changed to the same time. This was a bit confusing and frustrating since I rely on these timers to manage my schedule effectively.
I also noticed that when I clicked on the help icon (i) in the time control settings, it showed an error message saying, ‘Data could not be retrieved…’ even though my internet connection was stable. Additionally, deleting a timer sometimes resulted in a random error message, which added to the confusion.
After some research and trial and error, I found a workaround. I realized that the issue might be related to how the app handles multiple timers. To resolve the synchronization problem, I started creating separate profiles for weekdays and weekends instead of adding multiple timers. This approach worked seamlessly and eliminated the synchronization issue.
For the help icon error, I discovered that clearing the app’s cache and reopening it resolved the problem. As for the sporadic error messages when deleting timers, it seems to happen less frequently now that I’m using separate profiles instead of multiple timers.
I’m really happy with how the Smart Lock has improved my daily routine, and I hope these tips can help others who might be experiencing similar issues. If anyone has further questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out!
Best regards,
Markus
