Smart lock U200 slow unlocking

Hi all,
Sometimes the Aqara U200 is in some kind of sleepy mode and unlocks the door in a very slow manner. I’m unable to understand what can be the cause and how to solve it. Would anyone be able to share some tips on why this happens and how to prevent it from happening ?
Thanks a lot!

Did you find how to solve it?

I have this issue too. I can’t really say if it has anything to do with time of day, but I feel like it goes into slow mode more often at night. I’ll have to pay attention

I believe there’s an option in the settings that makes it lock/unlock slowly at night so it’s not so loud. :grinning:

Yes ! There’s an option to set it up for slow turning / less noisy for nighttime

Thanks, I just tried the Quiet mode and the speed I was describing is indeed the same as the Quiet mode setting. However, my Quiet Schedule setting is turned off so it should not be activated at anytime. Usually it works normally for a few weeks, and then at some point it often use the Quiet mode speed (battery is usually quite high still, I already eliminated this factor). Last time a calibration solved it. But I will pay attention to the time of day when this happens in the future.

You might have problems with the grease on the engine gears. Strange sounds, isn’t it?

As I understand it, depending on the speed at which you turn the lock (when unlocking from the inside), it will either open in silent mode or normal mode. I tested it, and I can reproduce this behavior on my end.

I’ve noticed the same behavior on my lock as well. It goes into the quiet mode seeming randomly. I’ve updated the firmware, but that hasn’t solved the issue

Hi there, as this issue has already been resolved with our support team via email, we’ll be closing this topic on the forum as well. If you have any further questions or run into any other issues, please feel free to reply directly to our support email. Thanks for your support and understanding!

That this issue is solved by email doesn’t help others that has the exact same issue. Can you please describe how to solve this because I have the exact same problem - no silent mode configured but is still randomly slow anyway, especially in the morning. Annoying.

Do I need to create a new thread to get a solution for this issue?

I removed Aqara’s message as solution, their email was quite useless and basically saying the same thing as @JulieK ‘s message but that doesn’t look like it’s the issue. However this issue hasn’t happened to me since I wrote the post so I currently can’t help further on this issue

Ok thanks! It actually seems to be a difference depending on how aggressive you turn the knob from inside, so you could mark Julie’s comment as solution.
It is definitely a “feature” that would be a lot clearer if it had a setting to enable/disable…
