Hi everyone,
I recently bought the Aqara Floor Heating Thermostat W500 and connected it to my water-based floor heating. It’s running in Zigbee mode.
Unfortunately, I can’t get Smart Schedules to work. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- I configured all the Presets
- I set up my Smart Schedules
- I enabled Smart Schedule mode in the App.
The problem is that the thermostat never switches between the scheduled modes. It always remains in the mode that I last selected manually, just before I turned on Smart Schedule.
Am I missing something? Has anyone managed to get Smart Schedules working with the W500?

I have/had the same problem.
For the schedule to work, the icon on the thermostat should show the little “schedule” picture.
According to the manual, after a manual override, the system should revert back to the schedule after a default 2 hours. (It did not).
I had to manually turn the Schedule Assistant on and off for the “schedule” icon to reappear on the device.
I’ve not tested whether that works or not yet, but I think the key is that the schedule icon needs to be on. I’ve not found a way to turn the schedule icon on from the buttons on the device itself.
In reality, it looks as if the “revert to schedule after manual override” works differently to the way I understand from the manual, and that if I manually override I need to go back into the app to turn the schedule back on again.
I only got and installed it yesterday, so still need to play a bit.

OK. I think I have figured it out.
The key is to ensure that the thermostat smart schedule is actually activated.
To do this, I needed to turn ON Schedule Assistant. (and check to see that the icon was lit up on the thermostat.)
Once that icon is on, the smart scheduling works as described.
I also noted that if you then manually change a setting on the thermostat itself, it will automatically revert to the schedule after 2 hours, unless you go back into the app and select the “Smart Schedule” preset.
As far as I can tell, there is no way of turning ON the Smart Schedule directly from the thermostat.
