I’ve been really enjoying setting up my smart home security system with multiple door and window sensors. One thing that’s been particularly helpful is grouping my sensors to make automation easier. Instead of having to manually select each sensor every time I want to create a new automation, I’ve started tagging them as ‘perimeter sensors’. This way, I can quickly reference the group without having to go through each entity one by one. It’s been a real time saver, especially with over 30 sensors in my setup! It’s also great for visual organization in the app. Plus, when I need to troubleshoot or modify settings, having them grouped makes it much simpler.
