Hi everyone, I’m in the process of building my new home and I’m really excited about integrating some smart devices, especially when it comes to safety. I’ve been looking into smart smoke alarms and I came across a great option that I really want to try out. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag with the EU regulations regarding smoke alarms. From what I understand, all smoke alarms in the EU must be interconnected so that if one detects smoke, all of them sound the alarm. This is usually achieved through wiring, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to make this work with smart smoke alarms that might not be wired together. I’ve heard that some brands offer smart smoke alarms that can communicate wirelessly, but I’m not sure if they comply with the EU regulations.
