Hello everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation and wanted to share my experiences with setting up smart switches. After researching various options, I decided to go with the Cooper Wiring Devices RF9540-N and GE Z-Wave Smart Dimmer (In-Wall), 12724. Both have been performing exceptionally well, especially in terms of compatibility and ease of setup.
One challenge I encountered was ensuring that the dimmers could handle the LED bulbs in my house, which require a minimum of 10% power to turn on. The Cooper and Leviton dimmers, with their feature of “kicking” on LED bulbs at low power levels, proved to be the perfect solution. This eliminated the frustration of guests and family members who were confused by the initial setup.
I also wanted to mention the sunrise feature I’ve implemented. It’s incredibly satisfying to wake up to a gradually brightening room, and it’s been a game-changer for my morning routine. The ability to set different brightness levels throughout the day has made my home feel more dynamic and personalized.
