Hi everyone! I’m really excited about my upcoming project to protect my outdoor plants during the winter. I’ve heard that using a smart temperature sensor connected to a smart outlet could be the perfect solution. The idea is to have the outlet turn on heating bulbs when the temperature drops below a certain threshold. While this is my primary goal, I’d also love to track temperature changes over time to better understand my plants’ needs.
I’m wondering if anyone has experience setting up something similar. What specific temperature sensor and smart outlet combinations work best? I’m considering the SmartThings hub, but I’m open to other recommendations. Reliability is key for me since I want this system to work seamlessly without constant monitoring.
If anyone has tips or success stories about automating plant care, I’d love to hear them! Let’s make this winter a safe and cozy one for my plants. Thanks in advance for your insights and advice!
