Smart Thermometers Displaying Humidity on New Devices: Solution Found!

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a quick update regarding an issue I encountered recently. After upgrading from my Pixel 7 to a Pixel 9, I noticed that all my smart thermometers were displaying humidity instead of temperature in the Google Home app. This was quite puzzling since they worked perfectly on my old phone and my wife’s iPhone.

After some research, I discovered that the issue was related to how the Tuya app integration handles data on new devices. The solution was simpler than I expected: I just needed to adjust the settings within the Google Home app to prioritize temperature over humidity.

Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:

  • Opened the Google Home app on my new Pixel 9.
  • Navigated to the device settings for each thermometer.
  • Selected ‘Temperature’ as the primary display option.

Now, everything works as intended! I’m relieved to have this sorted out and wanted to share my experience in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

A huge thank you to the community for all the helpful tips and support over the years. It’s amazing how a little tweak can make such a big difference!
