Smart Thermostat Installation and Light Sensor Integration

I recently installed my first smart thermostat, and it’s been quite an adventure! :rocket: I replaced an old room thermostat with a Netatmo model, but I encountered some issues with my gas heating not responding to temperature settings. After some troubleshooting and swapping cables, I managed to get the app control working, but the heating still doesn’t react as expected. If anyone has similar experiences or solutions, I’d love to hear about them!

On another note, I’m exploring the idea of adding a light sensor to optimize my home cooling system. :sun_with_face: I came across the Tuya Zigbee Light Sensor, but I’m unsure about its compatibility and support. The goal is to monitor sunlight on specific house surfaces and pre-cool certain areas on sunny days. It would be fantastic to get some insights or recommendations on this project!

Lastly, I tried repurposing my Aqara/Xiaomi motion sensor for luminance detection, but it only reports light levels when motion is detected. If anyone has a workaround or alternative suggestions, please share! :rocket:

Overall, it’s been a mix of challenges and excitement as I dive deeper into the world of smart home automation. Looking forward to connecting with the community and learning more! :bulb:
