Hey everyone, I’m planning to set up a home heating system that combines wet underfloor heating with radiators as an auxiliary heat source. I currently have radiators and will be installing underfloor heating soon. I’m using a Nest thermostat, and I’m wondering how to best configure it for this setup. I’m in the UK with an OpenTherm-compatible system boiler.
I’ve heard that the Nest can learn your heating habits and adjust accordingly, which sounds great. But I’m not sure how it will handle the transition between the underfloor heating and the radiators. Should I set up separate zones or keep them together? Any advice would be appreciated!
For those who’ve successfully integrated multiple heating sources, what tips do you have for optimizing comfort and energy efficiency? I’m also curious about how others handle temperature adjustments during different times of the day or week.
