I recently upgraded my laundry routine by integrating my new Samsung smart washing machine and dryer into Home Assistant using the SmartThings integration. The setup was surprisingly straightforward, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with how seamlessly everything works together. 
One of the standout features for me has been the ability to monitor the remaining time or check when a cycle finished using entity cards. For example, I can glance at my dashboard and see exactly how much longer my laundry will take without needing to physically check the machines. It’s a small detail, but it adds so much convenience to daily life. 
I’ve also been experimenting with different ways to display this information beyond just entity cards. I tried using templates but found that the entity card format was the most user-friendly. It’s a bit puzzling why other card types don’t display the time as neatly, but for now, the entity card solution works perfectly for me.
