I’ve been really impressed with the SmartSense Temp/Humidity Sensor device handler, especially how it displays the current temperature right on the dashboard tile. It’s super convenient to check the temp without having to open the app! I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to add this feature to other device handlers, like for Tuya or other temperature devices. Has anyone had success with that?
On another note, I stumbled upon a great solution for controlling my Magic Home Pro RGBW LED Strip Controller using IFTTT. I was initially ready to purchase an adapter and reflash my controller, but then I discovered IFTTT Magic Hue. All I had to do was create a virtual switch in SmartThings and set up an IFTTT applet to control my LED Strip Controller. It’s been a lifesaver—no extra costs and much simpler than reflashing!
If anyone else is looking for an easy way to integrate their Magic Home devices with SmartThings, I highly recommend giving IFTTT Magic Hue a try. It’s been working perfectly for me!
